Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

We pick you up at your riad or hotel at around 7:30 am to start the 3-day group tour from Fez to Marrakech, heading for the Merzouga desert.

On the way we pass through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, and continue to Azrou, a town famous for its Berber crafts. We cross the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where you will have the chance to see the famous Barbary macaques.

We continue to Midelt and Erfoud, an area known for its fossils and minerals, and finally reach Merzouga, at the gateway to the Sahara desert.

In the late afternoon you will enjoy an unforgettable camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watching the sun set over the desert.

At the camp you will enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, with Berber music and a night in the desert.

  2. Day 2

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Valley of Roses/Ouarzazate

We get up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and ride back to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast we pass through Rissani and continue along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, one of the most spectacular areas of southern Morocco.

Along the way we stop to enjoy the scenery and continue to the impressive Todra Gorge, where you can take a walk and admire its huge rock walls.

After lunch we cross the Dades Valley, known for its landscapes, palm groves and old mud-brick kasbahs.

The Ouarzazate region and its surroundings are also famous as the setting for many international film productions.

In the late afternoon we arrive in the Valley of Roses or Ouarzazate, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

  3. Day 3

Valley of Roses/Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast we start the last day of our tour with a visit to the spectacular Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the setting for many films and series.

We continue our journey across the High Atlas mountains over the impressive Tizi n'Tichka pass, at more than 2,000 metres above sea level.

Along the way we enjoy magnificent mountain scenery before continuing to Marrakech, where our 3-day group tour from Fez to Marrakech ends.
