Your 3-day tour from Marrakech to the desert and on to Agadir starts with pickup at 7:00 am at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We head inland through the impressive landscapes of the High Atlas mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka pass, towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous as the setting for many films and series.
We have lunch and time to explore this old fortified village, built with traditional mud-brick architecture.
We then continue along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, through the picturesque Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, known for their spectacular rock formations, oases and natural landscapes.
At the end of the day we arrive in Tinghir, where we have dinner and spend the night in a hotel or traditional riad.
Night in the Valley of Roses / Tinghir | Dinner and breakfast included
After breakfast we explore the impressive Todra Valley, surrounded by traditional Berber villages and vast palm groves. We visit the famous Todra Gorge, where huge rock walls rise up to about 300 metres above the narrow riverbed, creating one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Morocco.
We continue our journey towards the Sahara desert, passing through towns such as Tinjdad, Melaab and Erfoud, the latter known for its fossils and dates.
When we reach the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, near Merzouga, we swap the vehicle for traditional camels to cross the dunes to our desert camp.
Enjoy an unforgettable experience watching the sunset over the dunes, followed by a delicious dinner under the stars. In the evening we gather around the campfire for traditional Berber music and stories of desert culture.
Night at the desert camp | Dinner and breakfast included
We get up early to enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Then we ride back by camel to the village of Merzouga, where you can freshen up and get ready before continuing the journey.
We then start our return journey to Agadir, crossing the impressive Draa Valley, famous for its vast palm groves, desert landscapes and old kasbahs.
We continue to Taznakht, a town known for its traditional crafts and beautiful Berber carpets. We then pass through Taliouine, considered the capital of Moroccan saffron.
Finally we continue to Agadir, arriving in the late afternoon. The tour ends with a transfer to your hotel, riad or a central point in Agadir.
