Your 3-day tour from Agadir to the desert and on to Fez starts with pickup at 7:00 am at your hotel or riad in Agadir. We head inland through the impressive landscapes of the Anti-Atlas mountains towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous as the setting for many films and series.
We have lunch and time to explore this old fortified village, built with traditional mud-brick architecture.
We then continue along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, through the picturesque Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, known for their spectacular rock formations, oases and natural landscapes.
At the end of the day we arrive in Tinghir, where we have dinner and spend the night in a hotel or traditional riad.
Night in the Valley of Roses / Tinghir | Dinner and breakfast included
After breakfast we explore the impressive Todra Valley, surrounded by traditional Berber villages and vast palm groves. We visit the famous Todra Gorge, where huge rock walls rise up to about 300 metres above the narrow riverbed, creating one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Morocco.
We continue our journey towards the Sahara desert, passing through towns such as Tinjdad, Melaab and Erfoud, the latter known for its fossils and dates.
When we reach the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, near Merzouga, we swap the vehicle for traditional camels to cross the dunes to our desert camp.
Enjoy an unforgettable experience watching the sunset over the dunes, followed by a delicious dinner under the stars. In the evening we gather around the campfire for traditional Berber music and stories of desert culture.
Night at the desert camp | Dinner and breakfast included
We start the day with a spectacular camel ride at sunrise. If you prefer, you can swap it for a quad bike (ATV) ride at an extra cost.
We then return to the village for breakfast and continue through the impressive Ziz Valley, home to one of the largest palm oases in Morocco.
The journey continues through Midelt and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains, where, with a bit of luck, we may see the famous Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
We head north to Ifrane, a charming mountain town popularly known as “Little Switzerland” for its architecture and alpine landscapes.
Finally we continue to Fez, arriving at around 7:00 pm, bringing to an end this unforgettable three-day adventure from Agadir to Fez.
